How to find subreddits by topic
Type what your buyers care about, not what you sell: "cold email" rather than "outreach software", "Shopify" rather than "e-commerce SaaS". The finder shows the best-known communities for the topics it recognises, then gives you two searches that find the rest: Reddit's own community search and a Google search over reddit.com. Smaller, focused subreddits are often where the useful questions are, and they are found by searching, not by lists.
How the results are picked
The list is hand-picked and short on purpose: well-known communities for marketing, social media, SEO, paid ads, sales and lead generation, startups, e-commerce, freelancing, crypto, and development. Each one is named by public directories and articles about Reddit communities; we checked the list on 12 October 2026. We did not read Reddit to build it, so there are no member counts here: open the subreddit to see its size, activity and rules as they are today. Communities change rules, go private or close, and a list cannot show that.
How to tell if a subreddit is worth your time
- Who is posting. A community of practitioners asking each other questions is where buyers are. A community where every post is a link to someone's blog is not.
- How recent the posts are. Sort by New. If the newest post is a week old, the community is quieter than its size suggests.
- The rules. Most marketing and startup subreddits ban self-promotion outright, or allow it only in a weekly thread. Many ban unsolicited messages to members.
- What gets upvoted. The top posts of the past month tell you what that community rewards: detailed answers, numbers, honest stories.
Using Reddit for prospecting without getting banned
Reddit is better for research than for direct outreach. Read the threads where your buyers describe their problems, note the words they use, and answer questions when the rules allow it, without a pitch. To find those threads, the Reddit advanced search builder searches a subreddit for phrases like "any recommendations" or "switching from".
Frequently asked questions
How do I find subreddits about a topic?
Search Reddit's community list for the topic, search Google for site:reddit.com with the topic, and start from the well-known communities for it. Type a topic above to get all three.
Does this tool list every subreddit?
No. It shows a short, hand-picked list of well-known communities for common business topics, and the searches that find the rest on Reddit and Google. Smaller subreddits are found through those searches.
Why are there no member counts?
Because we did not read them from Reddit, and a number we did not check would be a guess. Open a subreddit to see its current size and how active it is.
Can I promote my business on Reddit?
Only where a community's rules allow it, and most marketing and startup subreddits do not, or allow it only in a weekly thread. Answering questions helpfully, without a pitch, is what works.
Which subreddits are best for B2B leads?
It depends on who buys from you. Founders ask for help in startup and SaaS communities, store owners in e-commerce ones, and marketers in marketing ones. Look for the communities where your buyers ask questions, then search them for phrases that show a need.
